:] Yay. I have that warm feeling inside me that happens when I feel proud of myself... I think I improved a lot in this!

This is to debut my "new" character (I actually drew an old sketch of her a long time ago, but never actually developed her into an official character)
Her name is Kanoni, meaning "Little Bird" in Ulaya. I haven't completely decided on her personality, but she's very sweet and generous, and hates harming things in any way. She thinks sunsets are the most beautiful things in the world, and... um.. that's about all I have for her at the moment. I've got a few ideas, though.
Some things about her design: It's not very complicated, she's pretty much a typical cheetah. The only real differences are her pink eyes, the ring of spots on her forehead, and the line of spots under her eyes... and her jagged belly marking.

I tried out gradient shading again, and although it takes longer than cell shading, I love it <3 This picture came out exactly how I wanted it.

Man, that sunset is lovely. So's the grass.
And that cliff... or.. boulder, I don't know, it has a... realistic feel to it. I love this. [x

that's really well done hun. Congrats on the improvement.

I like the body and the design.. little cat-dog feets!...

and how the heck do you 'gradient shading'? ... been trying to figure that one out myself.. mine's sorta.. rough, and a lot of abuse of that smudge tool.

:] I pretty much just used the Photoshop lasso tool to select an area, and used the gradient tool inside it, then put the eraser on a really low opacity and did a combo of erasing/smudging. Took a little practice, but I got it!

wow, that is sick. D: i love the textures.. they seem weirdly SOLID. especially the sky and the grass, those clouds.. this seems like it would reflect culture for a cheetah, more, 'cause it has the more unique style of the gradiated clouds, and i suck at words. and heehee god do i love cheetahs. and like all big cats. and. . . most other things too. eee. purplyred shading, <3.
