(The humongous edit is a few paragraphs down. Sorry it's so long)

Weeeelllll this kinda ruined some of my plans.
This is the first weekend I actually don't have homework and DO have lots of free time! Awesome, right?... No. See, I have two computers, a Mac and a PC. My PC is old and has no fancy shmancy programs on it; we basically just use it for email and checking facebook and/or dA and other daily things. Pretty basic, kinda slow, etc. The Mac, on the other hand, has lots of art programs and my art on it, all the personal stuff like photographs, music, and finance spreadsheets. Guess which one crashed?...
So I was going to spend a lot of this afternoon and sunday finishing up the old pictures that I stopped working on a while ago, and being all productive-like. But since the Mac is out of order for now, I can't. We're pretty sure the files are still there, but the network isn't connecting and a lot of the programs don't work, i.e. photoshop and lightroom. SO my plans are a bust.

[OLD]BUT IT'S OK! Tonight is Homecoming Dance :] And I'm going with a humongous group of friends. No date-- I enjoy my stag status at dances, that way I don't have to worry about whether they're having fun or not. (No it's not so I can dance with anyone, I don't even like the nasty dancing teenagers do now. Ick.) So my hair is done like it is in my devID, but just more ringlet-like, since a professional did it instead of me. Uuuh basic description of my dress.. Knee length, all ivory, with a bow in the back and ribbon around the waist, with a silver brooch in the center below the bust. Ties at the neck, the straps are thick and come straight down to the waist. In between the straps there are folds of fabric.. it's hard to describe, but it kinda looks roman I guess. Pearl necklace, silver shoes.. the works, haha. It's gorgeous though.

Last night was Homecoming Game. We lost 22-0, of course, because our team is really little this year and pretty much sucks. But I love them :] They're adorable and I want to pick up some of the littlest ones and carry them around with me! Just like last year, it was raining and so cold that the rain hung like mist in the air, and no matter where you stood you got wet and cold. But I still had a good time, I got to see my best guy friend get his homecoming prince crown and then have to march in his tie and slacks right afterward XD (he's in drumline) I felt so bad for the homecoming girls, they looked frozen out there in their dresses.

This morning, I did the JDRF Walk to Cure Diabetes with a bunch of friends :] Even though it was still freezing and rainy, it was insanely fun, and we got free shirts and random NASA goodie bags afterwards, haha.
And while walking, I convinced Mr. Homecoming Prince to come to homecoming in my group Since he was going with his girlfriend's group before. But he finally broke up with her, so he wasn't sure that he was going to go with them (I say finally because she was using and playing him, and the worst influence ever. Drugs, booze, even stealing things... She's hilarious and friendly, but not a good match for him at all, and he knew that from the start.. but as usual with him, he got caught up in something that he couldn't get out of and had to wait a while before he could break up with her, or else drastic high school drama would ensue). So I'm pretty sure tonight's going to be amazing :] If not, oh well, it's high school.

****[NEW] Ha. So Homecoming was definitely NOT amazing, it was one of the worst nights I've had in a long time. The DJ sucked (they played Taylor Swift at homecoming. Wtf.), they left all the lights on, there were zero guys to dance with.. but that stuff isn't what made it bad.
So.. I have this friend. She was the sweetest, most innocent, model citizen of a girl, who everyone loved and respected and wanted to be like. BUT, over the course of a month, she started changing. Nothing bad really, but it was noticeable... Until last night.
First off, she wore a skin-tight, zebra print dress that barely covered her butt and was waaay too low in the back and front. That's something she would never even have considered wearing before.
Then, she stole my best guy friend and made him go with her group, because she didn't have a date and wasn't going to go without one, and he was nice enough to go with her as a friend (although he openly admitted to her and everyone else that he didn't like her like that and would rather stay with my group).
THEN, she literally clung to him the whole night, wouldn't even let him speak to us, and danced dirtier than any girl in the room. He was grossed out and kept trying to leave and come to our group, but she would just grab his arm and start doing her thing again... Eventually he just had to give in (I don't think he did anything wrong, especially since he tried to get away. What guy wouldn't eventually give in to a gorgeous girl who was trying to grind him?).
AND THEN. When he had to leave to be announced as Homecoming Prince, she danced the same way with four other guys-- one of them had a date already and just pushed her away and left the dance floor because it was so gross.
AND, after the dance, she kept trying to take the guy to a drinking party (The old version of this girl had sworn never to drink before she was 21.) even though he kept saying he didn't want to go since he was trying to get out of some bad habits and knew it would be a horrible idea to go. Eventually she gave in and they came to where my group was hanging out, but then she didn't leave him alone the whole night.
Worst of all, though, was that 1. The friend-gone-bad knew what she was doing. and 2. It's common knowledge that one of my best school friends has liked my best guy friend since last year, and that everyone was for them being together at the dance since they'd be a perfect couple. She was incredibly upset during the whole dance and after-party, and unless you know this girl, it won't make much sense, but everyone felt so bad for her. I've never been one to get outwardly mad at another person, but I was incredibly pissed off. Anyone willing to make this girl upset should be pushed off a cliff.
I wish the girl-gone-bad would change back, I miss the old her... I know it's a long and stupid rant since none of you know her, but I don't like bad-talking people and I wanted to let everything out.

So I can easily say this was the worst homecoming I've ever been to. The only good part of it was that the one time my best guy friend was able to talk to us, he pulled me to the side and told me I looked beautiful. I felt so happy I thought I would die.

So I'm sitting here wasting time, waiting for 4:45 when I can go to my friend's house for pictures, with a HAIR NET on. I feel extremely BA. I think I'll leave that as my closing statement.
